Kim Johnson received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University and continued her artistic studies with Diane Maxey, Ted Nuttall, Phil Beck, Bill Lundquist, Tom Hill, and Charles Reid.

Kim and her husband make their home in Phoenix, AZ where she continues active involvement with the Scottsdale Artist School . Her recognition in exhibition work has led to a growing demand for commissioned paintings. In 2006, Kim began teaching classes for other aspiring watercolor artists.
